Rocking Horse has turned in two noteworthy Cabernet Sauvignon efforts. I have a slight preference for the 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon Garvey Family Vineyard. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the wine is full-bodied, with a sweet blackcurrant nose, good richness, dusty tannin, and outstanding extract and length. It requires 3-4 years of cellaring, and should keep for 15+. I have had mixed emotions about Rocking Horse's wines in the past, but certainly the four reviewed in this segment acquitted themselves well.Tel. (707) 226-5555
