Correggia’s 2006 Barbera d’Alba is a sweet, succulent wine packed with jammy dark fruit, minerals, smoke, licorice and road tar. The wine spent one year in used French oak barrels, which contributes to its voluptuous, generous texture. This delicious, beautifully crafted wine offers terrific value for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2014.
This small estate is a great source for the wines of Roero, the emerging appellation located across the valley from Barbaresco, in Piedmont.
