The 2007 Pinot Noir Canary Hill Vineyard was sourced from vines planted in 1983. Darker in color than the Abbott Claim, it has more grip, darker fruit including black cherry and plum, and more volume on the palate. Smooth textured, spicy, and nicely integrated, it should evolve for 1-2 years and provide prime drinking from 2011 to 2019.
Ken Wright describes 2007 as -?a really difficult year. It challenged me to be really good at farming and to be patient?Luckily it was cool and the fruit remained intact.- All things considered, it appears that Wright performed optimally in this challenging vintage with what nature provided.
