This is a wine Cosentino has negotiated with the basketball legend, Larry Bird, hence its name, and to my knowledge, it’s the first time the winery has ventured to Sonoma for Cabernet. It’s a good wine, not great. Savory in plum, black currant, cocoa and coffee flavors, it’s dry and full-bodied, and should hold for a couple years. ——S.H.(5/1/2007)—— 87
