The 2006 Chardonnay DuBrul Vineyard saw 50% of the wine go through malolactic fermentation and 50% was aged in new French oak. Light gold-colored, it offers a nose of toasty oak, apple, pear, and a hint of tropical fruits. The wine is nicely balanced and has good length but could use a bit more concentration.
The winery was founded in 1994 and David O’Reilly is the winemaker. He makes extensive use of DuBrul Vineyard grapes, an under the radar but superb site in Yakima Valley.
