The 2004 Chardonnay Terra Barossa Cuvee is decent, but not as impressive as the less expensive Milton Park. Perhaps the 30% new French oak utilized muted the fruit. This successful, reasonably large operation (666 acres) with vineyards dating back to the 1850s offer an assortment of wines under various labels (Milton Park, Terra Barossa, Shotfire Ridge, and William Randall). Their offerings are undeniably seductive, modern-styled, classic South Australian wines exhibiting copious quantities of upfront fruit, full body, and abundant oak. The proprietors claim they “over deliver.”Importers: Kysela Pere et Fils, Winchester, VA; tel (540) 722-9228 and Grape Expectations Wine Imports, Raleigh, NC; tel. (919) 781-1655
