Made with late-harvest fruit, the 2015 Vermentino di Gallura Vendemmia Tardiva Sciala is a wine of length and personality. It does not show any evident residual sugar, but you do notice that extra softness and richness on the palate. This Vermentino ferments in three different vessels: cement, oak and stainless steel. It is then aged in those three materials for six months before going into bottle. Tropical fruit, pear and Golden Delicious apple emerge from the pretty bouquet. It should evolve over the next 5 years or more.
