The 2009 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Seguret was more tannic than I remember it being the first time I tasted it in Feraud’s cellars. A dark ruby color is followed by notes of black currants, cherries, new saddle leather, underbrush and a touch of herbaceousness. It should be consumed over the next several years.
