The 2009 Echezeaux is strikingly beautiful but is also intense and tightly wound. The tannins are surprisingly firm within the context of the year. Dark red fruit, flowers, mint and licorice are some of the many nuances that take shape in the glass. This remains a decidedly powerful Echezeaux, even within the context of the year.
