The 2014 Lorcher Krone Riesling Trocken comes partly from weathered grey slate soils with limestone on the underground; it offers a deep and complex, very mineral and in fact chalky bouquet with very nice citrus aromas. Pour this wine in a big Burgundy glass and enjoy a full-bodied, round, finesse-full, very elegant and salty limestone Riesling with an intense, lemon-fresh and complex finish. This is a great, persistent Rheingau Riesling with a unique character. Excellent!
