The 2010 Santenay 1er Cru Le Beaurepaire exhibits aromas of citrus oil, tropical fruit, honeycomb and smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated palate that's bright and layered, let down by a sulfate-inflected finish without which this would score even higher. Vincent observes that, in this era, he worked with a mobile bottling contractor who tended to be too liberal with sulfur dioxide additions—how times have changed!
