The 2015 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills is pale to medium ruby with a very pretty nose of gravel dust, rosewater, potpourri, tangerine peel and autumn leaves over a core of concentrated ripe red and black cherries and berries plus hints of cinnamon and rhubarb. Light to medium-bodied and very silky, it offers quietly intense fruits in the mouth with lovely layers of spice. It's knit with gentle, grainy tannins and juicy acidity and finishes long and nuanced. This is a stunner and one of the best Sta. Rita Hills appellation Pinots I've tried.
