The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Tribute offers a nose of cedar, spice box, and currants. Balanced and forward, it can be enjoyed over the next 5 years. Caliterra’s less expensive Reserva lineup did not move me but the Tribute portfolio was excellent. Each of the wines spent 14 months in French and American oak.Importer: A.V. Heavily charred, with dashes of lemon, dill and olive along with meaty dark fruit. The palate is a bit chunky and runs toward sweet plum and berry flavors, but there’s also a streak of glaring acidity that makes it tangy in the middle.
