The 2012 Wrongo Dongo is 100% Mourvedre from Jumilla, an area that Jorge Ordonez was the first to exploit and bring to the attention of American wine consumers. It exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as loads of blackberry and black cherry fruit, sweet tannin, and a naked, in-your-face, flavorful, hedonistic style. No oak is used in this effusive, delicious wine’s upbringing. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. Bodegas Volver, a joint venture between importer Jorge Ordonez and Rafael Canizares, produces wines from huge holdings of 252 acres in La Mancha, 457 acres in Alicante and 125 acres in Jumilla.
