Summers' 1999 Merlot Knight's Valley exhibits a deep ruby/purple color in addition to a sweet bouquet of black fruits and attractive French oak. It is fleshy, with admirable density, moderate tannin, and toasty pain grille flavors intermixed with berry and cherry fruit.
