The 2010 Dolcetto di Dogliani Briccolero is a cool, inward red. It shows fabulous energy and dynamism in its blackberries, blueberries, licorice and spices, all of which flow through to the wonderfully knit, textured finish. Today the Briccolero is closed in on itself, but it will drink beautifully in another year or two. It is a wine of tremendous promise. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018.
