The 2006 Bolgheri Rosso is a beautiful, soft-textured wine that caresses the palate with waves of sweet, dark fruit. The aromatics are well-articulated and the wine offers lovely overall balance. This is a great introduction to the wines of Bolgheri and Grattamacco. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot, the Rosso spends six months in used French oak barrels.
