The 2014 Monthélie comes from eight parcels spread over five climats and had been blended 15 days prior to my visit, and it will be bottled February or March next year. It has a crisp, bright and lively bouquet with strawberry and red cherry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with gently gripping tannin. This is a nicely structured Monthélie, with cranberry and a dash of white pepper on the quite masculine and slight austere finish. Drink over the next 4-5 years.
