Made with 100% Sangiovese, the 2019 Chianti Classico manages an inky dark color that is unusual for this grape. The bouquet embraces elegant and tapered aromas with blackberry, wild cherry and crushed mineral. Those tones are lifted and bright with a hint of dried cherry or grape skin, but the wine offers plenty of Tuscan character. Production is 28,000 bottles.

Stewed dark fruit, marmalade and sweet spices with some tarry undertones. Medium to full body. Chocolaty and raisiny with mellow tannins. Some herbal undertones, too. Drink now.
