Tasted from magnum, the 2008 Rasteau is nearing the end of its useful life. It was a difficult vintage, so the Romero family only bottled a single Rasteau, which included all of the material that normally would go into the higher-level cuvées. It shows mature aromas of decayed leaves, earth and some smoke, plum and truffled notes. Medium to full-bodied, it's crisp and silky, with decent length. Drink up.
