A blend of fruit from McLaren Vale, Barossa, and Coonawarra, AusVetia’s inky/ruby/purple-tinged 2002 Shiraz offers peppery scents of blackberries and cassis as well as some blatant new oak. My instincts suggest the latter component will become better integrated with more time in the bottle.
