An elegant, yet ripe and nicely textured effort, the 2012 C?tes du Rh?ne Village Laudun Chateau de Bord (60% Grenache and 40% Syrah) offers up an array of black raspberry and black cherry intermixed with plenty of spice and dried-flower-like aromas and flavors. Seeing a touch of new oak in its elevage (you wouldn’t know by tasting it), this medium-bodied effort has fantastic purity, fine tannin and dishes out plenty of fruit through the finish. It’s another superb value from this estate.
