The 2001 Barbaresco Curra, normally a top selection of the house, is less successful in this vintage, intense and lengthy but a bit dry in flavor and with a slight toughness on the close. Some bottle time will help, but I can’t see this wine approaching the level of the others in the group. Drink: 2006-2015.
