From vintner Virna Borgogno, the 2019 Barbera d'Alba La is ample and rich with deep layers of dark fruit, ripe blackberry and baked cherry. The wine's textural richness is woven tightly together, but it is also refreshed by the natural acidity of the grape and some of the lighter mineral tones that appear here. This is a solid and versatile pairing for a roasted chicken dinner. Production is 10,000 bottles.
