The incredible 2007 Chardonnay Bee Block is a tour de force in mountain Chardonnay. Honeysuckle, creme brulee, buttered citrus, white peach, and baked apple characteristics emerge from this full-bodied, intense effort. With great acidity as well as fabulous precision and purity, it can be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years.
This Santa Cruz Mountain operation is an outstanding, still under-the-radar source of terrific Chardonnay. This area has never had problems with phylloxera, so these are all from the directly rooted (no vines grafted on root stock) Spring Ridge Vineyard.
