The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva jumps from the glass with layers of exuberant fruit. Raspberry jam, plums, spices, vanillin and sweet spices all flesh out in this radiant, expressive Brunello. The 2007 has enough mid-palate density and underlying structure to drink well for another decade, although it is pretty appealing today. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2022.
