The 2002 Luna Beberide Reserva, a blend of 40% Mencia, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 30% Merlot, was aged for 26 months in 80% new French and 20% American oak before being bottled unfiltered. Clearly marked by the oak, aromatically the fruit is muted and the wine comes across as compact on the mid-palate and slightly hard in the finish.
