Jim Clendenen, who now labels his wines "mind behind," has turned out an exquisite 1993 Talley Vineyard Rosemary's Pinot Noir that should send chills up the spines of even the most quality conscious Burgundians. The color is a healthy dark ruby, with a smashingly intense aromatic profile that blasts from the glass. Jammy, sweet red and black fruits, spice, and smoke saturate the olfactory senses. In the mouth, the wine is all satiny smooth, velvety-textured, voluptuous richness with layers of sweet, expansive, ripe fruit, full body, beautifully integrated acidity, and no hard edges. The finish lasts for at least 30-45 seconds. This is a gorgeous Pinot Noir for drinking over the next 5-7 years. Bravo! Tel. (805) 937-9801
