The 2005 Grenache Nielson Vineyard reveals a deep ruby color in addition to a sumptuous, sweet nose of black cherries, raspberries, strawberries, and a hint of pepper. Satiny smooth and opulent with loads of fruit and full body, it is a terrific example of Santa Maria spin on a southern Rhone Valley wine. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
