Le Caniette’s 2003 Morellone (70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese) is made in a super-ripe style loaded with plump dark cherries, raspberries, plums and toasted oak. It is absolutely irresistible in its soft-textured, generous personality. The Morellone spent one year in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011.
