The 2010 Husseys Vlei Sauvignon Blanc has a very subtle bouquet with crushed stone, a touch of dried herbs, green asparagus and green bell pepper. The palate is well balanced with subtle herbaceous aromas, good acidity and crisp gooseberry and lime mixed with a touch of passion fruit on the finish. It is a distinctive expression of Sauvignon, not to everyone’s liking but true to itself. I am intrigued to see how this will develop in bottle. Drink 2012-2018.
