With a sizeable portion of Mourvedre (about 20%, plus 30% Syrah and 50% Grenache) in the blend, this backward, dense ruby/purple-colored Chateauneuf reveals a Bordeaux-like structure as well as explosively ripe fruit, superb delineation, and an impressive, pure, long finish. It requires 3-4 years of cellaring, and should keep for two decades. Issue #131 rating: 91+
