Similar to the excellent 2005, this bottling needs some time in the cellar to let the fruit, tannins, acids and oak knit together. Tasted in early winter of 2009, it’s fresh and dramatic, with ripe flavors of cherries, raspberries, currants, cola, licorice, orange zest and cedar. Try toward 2010. ——S.H.(8/1/2009)—— 92
