Grapes from the northern Barossa subregions of Ebenezer and Moppa from the Riebke family provide the lion’s share of the fruit in this classic red from the excellent 2013 Barossa vintage. Deep, dark plums and blackberry fruit, Asian spices, liquorice, dark chocolate and gently seasoned oak notes provide the dominant aromas. On the palate the wine displays excellent weight and drive finishing balanced and lingering with spiced black plums and notes of roasting meats. Drink in 2016.
