I enjoyed the 1999 Cotes du Rhone rouge (a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, and 5% Cinsault). It exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as a smoky, gamy nose, sweet, ripe black cherry fruit, and a medium-bodied, spicy finish. It should drink well for 5-6 years. Importer: T.
