The 2009 Ruchottes-Chambertin bursts from the glass with dark red fruit, violets, mint and crushed rocks. There is a sense of wildness and pure unrestrained energy that is beautiful to behold. The 2009 needs time to finds its center, but when it does everything works beautifully. Here, too, the 2009 is very closed in on itself.
