The 2011 Trine incorporates less Cabernet than in the 2010 and is made from 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot that spent 18 months in 30% new French oak. It’s juicy and fresh, without the density of the prior vintage, and has medium-bodied richness, solid purity and a fresh, clean finish. Possessing plenty of black raspberry, licorice, spice and floral nuances on the bouquet, it should be consumed over the coming 6 to 8 years.
