Leave it to Lalou Bize-Leroy to produce some of the richest, most concentrated, and unctuous white burgundies anyone is ever going to taste. The 1989 Chassagne-Montrachet-Les Chevenottes offers up a huge nose of buttery popcorn, tropical fruits, and spices. In the mouth there is great definition to its thick, lavishly rich flavors. This full-bodied, unctuously styled Chassagne should drink well young, but last for 10-15 years.
