There’s a lot of pedigree in this Cab. It’s beautifully dry, with a fine structure in which fruit, wood, acidity and tannins play well off each other. The tannins, though, are very strong, to the point of astringent lockdown. But there’s no reason not to cellar this wine until 2010, at the earliest. ——S.H.(10/1/2006)—— 86
