The 2007 Langhe Rosso PN Q497 (Pinot Noir) is pushed to the extremes of ripeness in this atypical vintage. Still, it shows tons of varietal character albeit in a rich, sumptuous style loaded with dark fruit. The finish is a touch hot, but it is hard not to admire this ambitious Pinot Noir. The weight and sheer glycerol in the fruit is felt on the lasting finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022.
Aldo and Milena Vajra craft some of the most beautiful, original wines in all of Italy. Frankly, it is impossible to go wrong with any of these superb bottles.
