The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve comes from the Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper vineyard, the Kennifick Ranch vineyard and the Stags Leap vineyard and contains splashes of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It aged for 22 months in 100% new French Sylvain, Taransaud and Darnajou barrels. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it charges out of the gate with energetic boysenberries, kirsch, black cherries and warm cassis scents with hints of potpourri, baking spices and dried lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has loads of open-knit, exuberant black fruit flavors on offer, with a soft texture and lovely freshness, finishing on a spicy note. 1,300 cases produced.
