The debut 1995 Chardonnay produced by Todd and Gus Anderson is a powerful, viscous, super-rich wine that should make additional friends for this high quality producer in Napa's scenic Conn Valley. The wine was not put through malolactic, but it was given extensive sur-lees aging, as well as fermented in barrel. It possesses marvelous intensity and richness, but it must still survive a sterile filtration (this is obligatory when malolactic fermentation is blocked), so it remains to be known how much intensity is lost. However, this wine could lose ten percent of its flavor and still turn out to be exceptional. Keep your eyes out for this Chardonnay when it is released in early 1997.Tel.
