I tasted two vintages of each wine, the youngest of the entry-level Garnacha being the 2018 Honoro Vera Garnacha, from vines around the village of Ateca. It matured in oak for two months to keep its youth and fresh fruit. The wines from 2018 are slightly lighter and fresher and have textbook varietal aromas of berries and aromatic herbs and just a very subtle spicy touch. The palate is juicy and reveals very round tannins and a velvety texture. It's pleasant and easy to drink. A very good value. 600,000 bottles produced.

This round red shows a core of plum and currant flavors, with smoky and light earthy notes. Features light tannins and firm acidity. A touch rustic, but balanced. Drink now through 2023. 25,000 cases made, 10,000 cases imported.??–TM??Region: Spain / Calatayud Select to Add
