This single vineyard Pinot, from a site in the Eola Hills-Amity AVA, has a strongly liquorous scent—the scent and flavor of somewhat raw new barrels. Perhaps time will soften and integrate the barrel notes, for the underlying wine shows very pretty, sweet cherry fruit, chocolate and spice.
