The 2000 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Vaison La Romaine is primarily from 80-year old Grenache blended with Syrah. There are 500 cases of this tank-aged red. Its dense purple color is accompanied by gorgeous blackberry and raspberry fruit aromas and flavors as well as terrific texture, and admirable succulence and flesh. It should drink well for 4-5 years.
