Colle Massari’s 2005 Montecucco Vermentino Melacce is perfumed and floral, with suggestions of jasmine, honey and very ripe apricots, and a lush, open personality. It is the perfect accompaniment to simply prepared fish and seafood dishes and is best enjoyed over the next year. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2008.
Colle Massari is a new property that Claudio Tipa of Grattamacco is developing in the Montecucco appellation. The vineyards are farmed organically and the majority of the estate’s vineyards are planted with Sangiovese.
