The 2004 Brut Nature is composed of 40% Macabeu, 40% Xarel-lo, 10% Chardonnay, and 10% Pinot Noir. The French varietals seem to impart an extra touch of complexity while the time in bottle has resulted in a sophisticated, nicely evolved bouquet. Elegant, nicely proportioned, and lengthy, this is a classy Cava for drinking over the next 2-3 years. Cava Llopart is the second oldest Cava house in Spain with family roots dating back to the 14th century and their first commercial Cava produced in 1887.
