There’s nothing subtle about this intensely fruity wine. It’s ripe black cherries all the way, with hints of chocolate and wintergreen. The tannins are soft, the acids low, but the flavors are so pretty that the lack of structure isn’t a big issue in this everyday drinker. ——W.E.(4/1/2001)—— 85
