From vines planted at Armagh in 1964, Jim Barry's 2016 The Benbournie Cabernet Sauvignon distinctly represents the current style among Australian Cabernets, being fragrant and medium to full-bodied, with firm but silky tannins and a streamlined shape on the palate. Cedary notes accent mixed red and black currants in a wine that warrants short- to medium-term cellaring.

Bright and juicy, with a mix of red and black fruit flavors that come across as fresh, showing notes of black tea, five spice powder and rosemary.
