The Monchiero Carbone 2018 Barbera d'Alba Mon Birone is celebrating a big 100th birthday (1918-2018) and boasts special packaging as a result with a proud "100" printed on the top of the capsule. The floral intensity of this red wine is incredible. It boasts a bouquet that recalls wild rose, lavender and pressed violets. There is plenty of purple and black fruit, spicy plum and blackberry preserves. The wine closes with elegant freshness and dusty tannins. This release of 10,500 bottles makes a great showing for such an important anniversary.
